La La’s Jewelry is in Business #9

Larry continues his explanation of the jewelry business.  We have 8,000,000 people in the NYC, there is no reason we can’t make tons of sales, but we must prepare ourselves for business.  This is your office, during the week, you will build a presence online through social media.  You will seek out clients from your friends and followers online.  That’s one market.  On Saturdays and Sundays, we will open the showroom by appointment only.  We will do presentations for groups of 2 – 5 people.  We will make sales, person to person during this time.  I will be here for security and to watch your back.  You can take two days off during the week so you will not get burnt out.  We will keep this schedule until we pass the $400,000 a year sales goal.  Then I can quit my job and go into real estate full time and working with you part-time.  I feel we can reach this goal in less than 2 years.  That’s about $175,000 a year in profits.
During the week you will become a great buyer, finding jewelry on clearance from large stores and chains, then we sell them to our clients at a reasonable markup.  This will be our bread and butter.  You will also do the shipping of our orders during this time.  Then you can develop your designs in a simple format, making it easy to sell your collection online.  Your collection should not have more than 10 pieces in it.  I haven’t thought of a name yet, I felt you could come up with one.
LaTasha, “You have really thought this through, haven’t you?”  Larry, “Yes, I want to be a full-time businessman and have several streams of income.  Now you are here, looking all pretty and stuff, I’m a happy camper.”  LaTasha gets up and comes over to him and gives him a kiss.  ‘I already know the name.’  Larry ask, “What is it?”  She says, “La La’s Jewelry.”  Larry, “What does it stand for.”  LaTasha, “See that’s why you need me with you because you are a little country.  Silly, that’s both of our names.”  Larry, “Oh, I see.  Yea, I like it, it fits.”  Let’s go get Marvin and celebrate.
