While playing little league baseball long ago, I learned the word FORFEIT. We were set to play a game and the other team had only 6 players. The umpire declared us the winner without playing. An effortless win. My coach called it a forfeit. Presently our neighborhoods are the same way. We live in forfeited communities. We forfeit our homes, schools, and businesses without striving to make them profitable and enjoyable places. In our case we are the losing team in this scenario. We give up homefield advantage without even playing the game. Will you show up and play in the game?
