It’s Sunday morning Dec 14th and LaTasha is getting ready to load the truck to take inventory and booth materials over to the coffee shop and Larry is just watching her work. He thinks she is so professional and beautiful to boot. She sees him watching her. LaTasha, “What are you doing with empty hands? Come over and help me.” Larry smiles and start to help her load, he says, “This is our last day to sell, we are shutting down shop at the coffee house.” LaTasha, “Why? I still got inventory to sell.” Larry hugs her, “Baby, you have exceeded my highest expectations.” LaTasha, “We didn’t turnover the inventory 3 times, plus I paid Brenda for the whole month. I’m right at $13,000 profit.”
Larry, “Wow you are a killa businesswoman. You know how much I made in a month and a half. My job paid me $4700. You tripled what I made.” LaTasha, “Excuse me Mister, you made $159,000 in these last 2 months.” Larry, “Yea, but we can’t spend that, we can spend your money.” LaTasha laughing now, “Oh so you want to spend my money, nope, nope can’t do it.” Larry, “Plus you gotta pay Marvin.” LaTasha really laughing now, “I didn’t make him that promise, you did. Looks like you and Marvin are going to be broke for Christmas!” They both are having a belly laugh and Marvin comes into the garage, “Momma when do I get paid.” LaTasha, “You better ask Larry, he made that deal with you.” Larry and LaTasha can’t stop laughing, both have tears in their eyes from laughing so hard. Larry, “Marvelous you get paid today when we come home.” Marvin jumps for joy and goes back in the house to get his calculator.
Larry, “Sweetheart, you made a profit and our business is off to a good start. How many email addresses did you get from being at the coffee shop?” LaTasha, “I got over a hundred names.” Larry, “You did an excellent job. You proved we can make money, you have a list of potential clients, and our new business name got some exposure. We were very successful.” LaTasha, “How much do we get to spend for Christmas?” Larry, “My investment on inventory was $10,000, I will settle for a 50% return for a month and a half.” LaTasha smiling uncontrollably, “I get to spend $8,000.” Larry, “Yep, you earned it.” LaTasha, “You gonna pay Marvin, right?” Larry giggling, “Yea, I got little man. I want you to take the next 2 weeks off and have a ball. I took my vacation so I will be off for 2 weeks too.” LaTasha’s heart is full of joy and she is ready for a great sales day. She thinks she can sell out and earn an extra $1,000 in profits.”
